Trick or Eat

For the seventh year running, we’re proud to support Trick or Eat, an initiative in collaboration with the Local Buyers Club to help tackle food poverty in Hackney. Trick or Eat encourages families to collect and donate non-perishable food while out trick-or-treating, making Halloween not just about sweets but also about giving back to the community.

What is Trick or Eat?

Since it began, Trick or Eat has collected over 13 tonnes of food for Hackney Foodbank and other local food banks. With demand for food banks increasing by 40%, initiatives like this are more important than ever to support individuals and families facing food insecurity.

How It Works

Each year, as children and families go out trick-or-treating, they also bring along food donations and drop them off at local shops. After Halloween, all donations are taken to a central location and distributed to Hackney Foodbank to support those in need.

Making an Impact

With the rising cost of living, more families and older people are relying on food banks. Trick or Eat provides a simple way for the community to come together, turning Halloween into an opportunity to help those in need.

The power of community.

We love to support local businesses, schools, charities, and people. Know someone who’d benefit from our support?
