The town of Mildenhall is perhaps most famous for the ‘Mildenhall Treasure’ found just outside the town in West Row, it was a haul of 34 masterpieces of Roman silver tableware from the 4th century AD.
It is home to the United State Air Force 100th Air Refuelling Wing and 352nd Special Operations Groups and the nearby RAF base. Some estimates suggest that it holds the largest American population outside of the United States, some 30% of residents. It’s certainly a popular area with investment buyers!
There’s a diverse range of shops and services normally associated with a large town with the iconic 15th Century hexagonal timber framed ‘market cross’ at the centre of the town. Mildenhall Stadium plays host to a range of sports including speedway and stock car racing too!
